Leadership Giving

Making the Greatest Impact

In Lebanon County, there are leaders who stand apart from the crowd, encouraging and inspiring those around them. These leaders create a sense of unity and purpose, setting an example for our community. Leadership donations strengthen our community by ensuring that effective programming reaches our most vulnerable neighbors.

Our leadership donors give generously to United Way of Lebanon County, supporting our work to improve the community we share.

Alexis de Tocqueville Society

The Alexis de Tocqueville Society honors individuals and foundations whose annual contributions total $10,000 or more. Members of United Way of Lebanon County’s Tocqueville Society are individuals in our community who share a vision of improvement for Lebanon County and a desire to effect community change.

Founded in 1984, the Tocqueville Society across the world raises more than $556 million from nearly 27,000 members. It bears the name of French aristocrat Alexis de Tocqueville, whose observations of American society and politics formed the basis of Democracy in America, published in two volumes in 1835 and 1840.
