Mobilizing Resources to Aid Those in Need

The Lebanon Valley Economic Development Corporation has convened local leaders to create a county-wide economic recovery plan. One action team under this plan is the Human and Social Services action team. This team is working to provide support to our local nonprofits to foster strong operations within our organizations during this challenging time to meet the needs of community members.

Each action team has created a plan that is integrated into the larger county-wide plan. The Human and Social Services Action team is charged specifically with mobilizing resources to aid those in need. You are invited to learn about our portion of the county-wide plan, ask questions, and provide constructive suggestions and feedback. The goal is to ensure a comprehensive approach to addressing the needs among our community members as our county recovers from the economic and health challenges due to COVID-19.

Human and Social Service Action Team Members include: Brooke Smith (United Way), Shila Ulrich (Caring Cupboard), Rafael Torres (Careerlink), Mike Ritter (DVI), Cheryl Heister (Literacy Council), Kendra Elliot (Compeer), and Ali Perroto (SARCC)
