When: December 8, 10, 14, 16 | 6-8pm
While children may still be able to visit Santa this year to give him their Christmas wishlist, it likely won’t be the traditional sit on his lap for a photo experience. Santa United is a United Way fundraiser that will also provide a more personal experience for children. For $10, parents can choose a time during the scheduled time slots, and Santa will call their child. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be put back into programs in Lebanon County that support our children and youth.
Volunteer Santas Needed: Our volunteer Santas will arrive at United Way (801 Cumberland Street) between 5:30-5:45 with charged cell phones. This will allow a bit of time to meet each other, get situated, and maybe even practice a bit before starting the calls. Each Santa will be given a schedule of children to call, and a somewhat private space in our office. Calls will be approximately five minutes. Schedules will be made to address the fact that children probably won’t be the easiest to keep on our time limits, as well as include breaks. You can expect that once the calls begin, the office is going to get fairly loud, and very jolly. You may want to practice your “ho, ho, ho” ahead of time!
