Stuff the Bus

For many struggling families in Lebanon County, the basic supplies and book bags their children need to start school have become a luxury they can't afford. That's where you come in. During summer vacation, June 29th - July 29th, the United Way of Lebanon County and its community partners, are collecting school supplies and small, medium and large sized book bags for needy children, grades preschool to middle school.

How Can You Help?

You will be given a collection box, flyers and a list of what is needed. You can help by collecting donations either in person or by putting one of our donation boxes in a lobby or breakroom.

VOLUNTEER

Did you know that in Lebanon County, a full 35% of children between the ages of 5 to 11 live under 200% of poverty?*

Help us get these supplies into the hands of the children who need them!

We will need volunteers for June, July and August for:

Decoration of collection boxes

Volunteers who will be willing to work two hour shifts at our Stuff the Bus Days: Activities will include accepting and sorting donations at school buses parked at strategic locations in Lebanon County

Volunteers who are willing to sort and stuff backpacks

Drivers who are willing to transport donated materials

Companies and employees who are willing to collect donations: either in person or by putting one of our donation boxes in a lobby or breakroom
